Q regarding purchase

Basically i wish to purchase pokertracker, but now i see that pokertracker 3 is in beta stage so some questions has arised.

1. If i buy "v2" will i be able to use v3 after the beta endas or will i need to purchase a new license?
2. If it is the case that i need to renew my license for v3, would it even be worth it to buy v2 at this point? Do YOU think i would be better off just using v3 beta until the retail version comes out?

Edit: oh and btw, is there any estimated launchdate? Im sure theres not, but would you consider it to be "soon"?
