Serious discrepancies on Boss Media

Postby Silversag » Tue Aug 09, 2011 4:04 am

Can you please explain following thing that has been bothering me since the beginning of the month:

In the beginning of August I moved from PokerHeaven to Opoker (both are BossMedia), deposited 700 EUR, got first deposit bonus
and started playing NL50 on normal 10-max tables. So far I have cleared 60 EUR from my bonus and it has been transfered immediately
to my account in 10 EUR installments. Now we do some simple math:

700+60=760

At the moment PT3 shows that I am losing 147.09 EUR.

760-147.09=612.91

...BUT my balance in Opoker lobby is showing 567.94 EUR

612.91-567.94=44.97

thats a whopping 45 EUR gone missing somewhere! Since I am not really a fan of conspiracy theories I do not believe that Boss Media is stealing my winnings in some way. So...

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN!? If we compare 147.09 with 44.87 thats roughly 33% of relative difference!

I am already used to small mistakes there and then. I am used to fact that rake amounts never match, that graphs are wrong and so on, but isnt this a bit too much of a discrepancy!?

And, before you start making your usual veiled suggestions that I am a complete idiot, I want to note following things:

- I am NOT playing on Bad Beat Jackpot tables
- I am NOT changing currencies in any way
- I am playing ONLY EUR tables
- there has not been any visible errors with importing hands, I havent played with databases, changed computers, erased hand histories, etc.
- even if you will suggest that there is some kind of problem with first deposit bonus (which I am 99% sure there isnt one) and it has not been
added to my account, there is still 15 EUR discrepancy which is still unacceptable

I understand that you are worried - in your situation I would be too. Do you have all of your hand histories? If you could send them to us we could look for hands which (for one reason or another) did not import - it is possible that there was some hand or two that did not import and those happened to be hands in which you lost a considerable amount of money.

Yes, I do have all the hand histories. I am almost sure his is happening all the time. Previously I was on PokerHeaven and I seem to notice that as well, but since I did not fix certain starting amounts it was difficult to notice. And differences were small anyways... something like 5-10 EUR, so I wasnt really bothered. But this time its getting significant... 50 EUR is how much I earn in a day... I would really want to know where this money is!

I really don't wan't to think that poker room is cheating,but... that means there is some glitch in PT3...

After todays session (875 hands) situation is as follows:

PT3 shows me winning 48.88 EUR + my initial investment and bonus = 760+48.88= 808.88 EUR

Yet my Opoker account shows 761.91!! Difference is 46.97 which means that TODAY I have lost additional 2.00 EUR somewhere in those 875 hands, because if you check my previous post then difference was 44.97...

Thats roughly 1 EUR per 450 hands today

I have played 19 000 hands this month so far and if we divide 19 000 by 450 we get 42, which is suspiciously close to todays ratio.

How exactly do you want me to send you hand histories? What should I do? And will it be easier to check just todays session as we now the exact amount missing in quite a small sample?

p.s. Opoker's own hand history page seems to be stuck at loading stage permanently, so I can't get anything out of there. Was thinking to check if the hand count match with PT3...

Yes - compare a session with the site's history. If you find one which doesn't match but has the same number of hands then please attach the original hand history file to a Support ticket and tell us how much you actually won or lost so that we can investigate.
One thing to be aware of, though, is currency conversion - are you playing all games in the same currency as your bankroll is stored in?
If not there can be differences in conversion.
