Was playing a stars 18 man FR SnG and keeping an eye on one particular guy when we got in the money. He was chip leader and I had the impression that after we got down to 4-5 remaining players he played almost every hand. I appreciate that impressions can be deceptive, but I distinctly remember his VPIP in the HUD was 19 (zero decimals so there might be a rounding error.) and that struck me as being light. As soon as I got eliminated (yep, by him) I selected him in PT3 and checked under the General tab and his VPIP was 25% (for that SnG). Replaying the knock out hand shows villain's VPIP as 21%.
Why the difference?
