call pfr and cold call preflop?

Can someone please explain to me the difference between "cold call preflop" and "call preflop raise"? i am getting two different stats for the two. Which one is also more usefull?

Cold calling is calling a raise when you have no money in the pot, whereas call PFR is any time you call a raise whether you have any money already in or not.
