can not connect to database

Hello!
I have a problem with the connection between PT3 and postgres. After reading the forum i see the topic have been discussed, but i cant find what i need. I think i know why it doesnt work: A couple of weeks ago i had a crash on my computer, and i had to reconfigure the xp-system. After that i cannot connect to database, and when i go on the postgres page admin it seems that there is no server connected. I then press "add a connection to a server" , but i dont know what to fill in. I have read the help page, but my computer skills are not good enough to understand what i should write in the " new server registration" -box. Can you please help me with this problem?

If you click Start --> Programs --> PostgreSQL --> Start Services, then press ctrl+alt+del and click task manager, then go to the processes tab, do you see any postgres processes there?

i did what you asked, and there were no postgres process running...

regarding the page admin site: in the left collum the text reads "servers: 0 " (no servers connected....)

Please zip up and attach the 3 most recent files in the C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\Data\pg_log to a support ticket and we'll look into what could be causing this for you.
