Pokertracker not conecting to database after installing IE8

Hi,

I've just had to install internet explorer 8 onto my computer. Since then pokertracker isnt working. i get the message:

"Error connecting to default database"

on exiting PT3 i get this message:

"Certain firewall issues may inhibit all PostgreSQL functionality"

I've turned of my norton and it still wont open! Serriously wtf? Sorry iv had a fustrating day...one thing after another! Would appreachiate help ASAP!

Please take a look at our Firewall Troubleshooting Guide. If that doesn't help you get things working again, please report your problem and we'll investigate further for you.

It isn't a firewall problem.
I tried creating a new database and imported all hands from the processed files-directory.
There was a lot of error messages while importing those and it seems that almost half of my hands were not imported at all.

Hmm.

ps. PT3 also crashed just browsing the tabs. Just like it has done so long now. I have sent you logs for those crashes months ago and nothing has been done.


Guess i need to install PostgreSQL 8.3 back and then manually export everything to a directory and then install 8.4 back. Sigh.

What version of PT3 are you using? (see the title bar of PT3)
What site are you playing at?

I'm having the same problem here. Not sure if it is related to installing IE8 yesterday.

I have an error message saying "Error connecting to default database" and both database options listed below are greyed out.

When I attempt to create a new database using password svcPASS83 I get an error message saying "unable to creat PostreSQL database: PT3_2010_03_21_094745 Reason: Unable to login to database (template1). Reason: server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request."

postgres.exe processes appear to be running and I am running pokertracker as administrator. I have no antivirus programs currently running except windows.
