Postgress PT v2 and PT 3 problems.

Let me start with the beginning,

A few months ago I dedicided to buy holdem manager, however they made it very very hard to pay them. You had to have Neteller of you could buy it with a Pokerstars account. Because of that I decided to wait for PT3 8-). But when I installed HM I also created a postgress account which I didn't use yet. But of course I have the password etc etc.

Ok, now the first problem,

Converting the database of PT v2 into a postgress database. I have the problem that when I type the Postgress settings that I can not type into the ODBC entry to use it remains empty. I have googled it to find out and on this forum someone had the same problem and he got the solution, unfortunatly he didn't say WHAT the solution was..
I want to convert the PT v2 database after that into the PT3 database.

Ok than the second problem, when I download the PT3 version it is saying that I can install Postgress, it gives me the settings and passwords etc automatically. But these passwords are the same as which I used with HM Postgress settings. Should I let that be the same? Furthermore, is it maybe better to not download Postgress with PT3?

If you previously installed postgres, just install the PT3 without postgres version.

Where is your post exactly? What I did like 10 min. ago was deleting all the postgress files. Delete PT 3 and than installing PT 3 again with Postgress, anyway there is still the problem with the empty ODBC file. Should I delete everyting again (including the postgress files) and install PT 3 without Postgress?

Heb inmiddels geprobeerd om Postgres apart te downloaden omdat je anders geen "stack builder" krijgt wanneer je PT 3 en postgress tegelijk download -----------> wellicht kan hier een update van worden gemaakt dat wanneer je PT en Postgres tegelijk download dat die stack builder er dan wel bij zit, op dit moment is dat namelijk niet het geval.
Echter ik kan het bestand niet openen het is een tar bestand. Iemand enig idee met welk programma je het bestand moet openen?
