PokerStars 2010 VPP Custom Stat Question

You can do it - that's just what most stats are like in that section.
Have a look at the Use of 'SUM' section in this part of the tutorial.

I'll update the tutorial to make it a bit clearer when I have time. It's relatively new, so if you find anything else you don't understand please let me know. Can you give me a link to the specific post where you saw this, thanks.: "HCPS stats are based on the number of times a certain action or event occurred."

Oh awesome, I'll get started on it as soon as I get some free time. I usually work full time but had a long holiday do nothing session so I have to catch up on a business front a little.

Thanks - that's from my old tutorial, and when I have time to move it to the new Tutorial - Custom Reports and Statistics I'll re-word it. I've just added a note for now, so that it doesn't say that they're always like that.

seems they are just doing (rake*6/100)/players

can it be that hard to add into pt3?

No, though I'm not sure why the /100 is listed there; it was my understanding that it was Rake * 6 divided amongst the players. Maybe that was VPP/100?

Regardless, use this in the HCPS columns section to get the same stat (and note that for 6max and heads up you'd want a 5.5x version):

sum(if[holdem_hand_summary.amt_rake > 0, holdem_hand_summary.amt_rake * 6 / holdem_hand_summary.cnt_players, 0])

Then create a stat using that column. I thought someone was submitting this to the repository already; I'll look into getting that approved if it's pending.

is it possible to customize it, like

if ( InStr(limit, "6 max") )
rake *5.5
else
rake*6

?

You can use an expression like this:

holdem_limit.limit_name LIKE '%(6 max)'

..to find limit names which end in (6 max).
The % represents any zero or more characters when you use LIKE.

i think the way just per MGR works fine, pls try my stats, they should work fine

There is a 2010 VPP stat in the repository now; I haven't tested it though myself.
