HUD: positional stats, how to use?

Postby funkyj » Fri Nov 13, 2009 4:09 pm

Kraada's advanced HUD and the latest default HUD now use and display the built in positional stats. Great!

I was looking at the default HUD trying to figure out how I could use or add positional stats and I was confused by what I saw: Back when Kraada created custom stats they were named things like pfr_ep, pfr_mp, pfr_lp, pfr_blinds. Then in the HUD configuration there would be these same positional stat names. This is intuitive and easy to understand.

Now with the built in stats, there is still a text naming the columns EP, MP, LP et cetera but the actual row of stats just says "pfr, pfr, pfr, pfr". How does PT3 know whether I want the total, ep, mp, lp or blinds version of a stat? Does it use the column title (text) to determine this? If yes, does the mean the column titles must be certain strings for the proper stat to appear?

Is there a FAQ or HOW-TO describing this? I did a search and didn't find such a thing.

After I stopped looking for the information above, I stumbled across what I think is the answer:

Feel free to ignore my post above. I'll follow up here if the link doesn't tell me what I want to know.
