New PT3 user gets better pop-up stats

Hi, I'm a touch confused. I just convinced a friend to buy PT3, which they installed yesterday, and their HUD instantly kicks off with a great 'notes' tab on the player stats and even better pop-ups - showing a table of stats by position. While I still have the same boring pop-up list that I have had since the very first beta release.

So I've done a little looking around, and the 'default' pop up that this new user gets looks very much like the pop-ups shown in this post by kraada:

So my next step was to take a look at more/layouts http://www.pokertracker.com/repository/layouts.php

and I downloaded "Description: The default HUD layout provided with PokerTracker 3"

This saved a file named default.pt3hud which I imported as a new profile using the hud configuration - but I still don't get the sexy pop-ups that my friend now gets with no work at all.

So, should I just ask my friend to export her hud config so that I can get the same pop-ups, or must I go through all the steps in kraada's tutorial post to build the same thing from scratch?

The new default layout was introduced mid last year and you don't need to download my HUD for it. The easiest way to get it is to make sure you're running Build 5.2 or newer, then click Configure --> Configure HUD. Select your HUD profile that you want to change, then click Options --> Replace Current With Default. That will overwrite the HUD profile you have selected with the new default layout with its popups.
