Preflop pot size / pot odds?

Postby dmacioce » Fri Feb 19, 2010 3:01 am

Hi,

I want to create a report that helps me to identify which hands I'm folding (or calling) in the BB when I'm facing an open-shove and getting better (or worse) than 2:1 pot odds to call it.

How can i determine what the size of the pot is pre-flop prior to Hero's action? If I'm not mistaken, the existing amt_pot field shows the total pot size at the end of the hand. Also, is there a way to know how much is required to call the all-in?

I tried searching for something like this, but don't find anything. I'm assuming I might need to create a new column or something? Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

dan

You want to look at holdem_hand_player_detail.val_p_raise_facing_pct - if it's 100% you were facing a pot sized bet (and thus were getting 2 to 1). You should be able to do the math you want from there :)
