Betfair Rakeback

Postby T123 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 9:52 pm

Hi

I am not too great with building stats but would like to know if its possible to get a stat created that will will calculate my betfair rake accurately?? The porblem I have is that my rake in PT3 is no where near my actual rake showing from rakeback site as I believe the rake paid by hand is divided by number of players in pot....... :?: .... not sure...?

Anyway....

BF work on a flop seen rake basis - initially I am only after it for 4NL which is calculated at 1c per 20c. With max rake as follows for number of players in pot.
$1 = 2 players
$2 = 3-4 players
$3 = 5-9 players

Thanks very much for any assistance... I have no idea where to start or even if its possible!

If you can tell us exactly how your rakeback is calculated we can help you build your expression - do you have a link to a website describing it?

Sorry whiterider cant post a direct link because of their help interface but if you go to http://poker.betfair.com/?referringURL=/help/ and search rake it will explain their structure.

I have also posted the individual attribution below which I clearly confused with my left nut ball in first post. Anyway thanks for taking the time to respond. Happy to share the stat in the repository when finished too!

Betfair individual rake attribution.

How is rake attributed to an individual player?

A player is deemed to have contributed to the rake taken on a pot equity basis (by amount staked rather than number of players).

For example, if there are 6 players dealt a hand, but only 3 contribute money to the $250 pot, with 2 players contributing $100 each and 1 player contributing $50, the rake of $3 is split (100/250) * 3 = $1.2 to the 2 players who paid $100 and (50/250) * 3 = $0.60 to the player who contributed $50.

Create the following statistic in the Holdem Cash Player Statistics section (you won't be able to build this in Session or Sessions because we need individual details about specific hands):

amt_contributed_rake: sum(if[holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_bet_ttl > 0, (holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_bet_ttl / holdem_hand_summary.amt_pot) * holdem_hand_summary.amt_rake, 0])

If you want to add a check for betfair only, you can do this:

sum( if[ holdem_hand_summary.id_site=1400, holdem_hand_summary.amt_rake * (holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_bet_ttl / holdem_hand_summary.amt_pot), 0 ] )

Thanks guys! I am sure I am doing something wrong but not sure what exactly....

Whiteriders method does not seem to work at all for some reason.

Kraada's method is working however given me the EXACT same rake value in $ as the original PT3 rake figure which is like 66% off my actual rake showing @rakeback site.

This is correct, yes? with a summary type of "sum"????
sum( if[ holdem_hand_summary.id_site=1400, holdem_hand_summary.amt_rake * (holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_bet_ttl / holdem_hand_summary.amt_pot), 0 ] )

I have validated the expressions and run housekeeping as well before trying to use the stat.... i am vividly confused!

Are you sure you're using my method exactly as I described it above? I checked for myself and I do see a difference between Rake and the contributed rake column I built . . . albeit not a huge one.

Yep I am doing it EXACTLY the same - literally copying, pasting, then validating!

The figure is well and truly off the rake i've generated in my rakeback site reports. I can provide the exact measly figures if you'd like.... but will need to do that tomo eve.

My rakeback report says I've generated ~ $7.00ish. However standard PT3 stat says $22.23. And yours is around that mark as well which is quite ALOT off.... Sorry for any inconvenience.

The expression Kraada gave you does exactly what you asked for - are you sure that's how your rakeback is calculated?

You can create a similar stat in the Holdem Cash Hand section to show this value for each individual hand to verify it - just remove the SUM( ) part.
i.e. The column would be:
if[holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_bet_ttl > 0, (holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_bet_ttl / holdem_hand_summary.amt_pot) * holdem_hand_summary.amt_rake, 0]
Build a stat to display that column and add it to a report which displays individual hands.
