Added column question

Postby chrisa23 » Tue Apr 13, 2010 2:44 pm

I have successfully added numeric fields to the player postgres DB table in PT3, and configured them for use in the HUD.

I am now trying to add some text fields (similar to player_name) and have done what looks like all the correct configuring of columns and statistics for them to be available in the HUD, but they are not listed as available statistics when I try to configure the HUD...

I am not sure if I am just missing something simple or if there is an issue with new text db fields that I am not aware of... I feel like I am missing something, but I have now gone back over everything multiple times, as well as comparing to other text columns...

Any help or nudges in the right direction is appreciated...

Try creating a variable that points to the column that uses the text field, and then see if the stat which uses the variable is addable to the HUD. There's a known issue with certain text stats that require the use of a variable in order to display (Player Name Short is one such stat).

OK, one more thing... Is there a way to use line breaks in displayed text?

I am creating a popup with one stat that is multi line text.

I seem to be having trouble getting anything like \n or \r to work... I am not sure if there is some internal control code for breaks...

Hopefully it is possible...

I'm not aware of any such method of inserting a line break, but I'll see what I can find out for you.
