how to use a variable in a stat

Postby marvin » Mon May 10, 2010 3:13 am

i wish use a variable like "minbet_value" like for example 25, for use it in columns of stat. for example: cnt_minibet: ... if holdem_hand_player_detail.val_t_bet_made_pct <minbet_value in this way i can modify many columns only changing the value of variable.
if for excample i wish define minibet each bet < 25$ (if the pot is 100$, i.e 25% of pot generally speaking) then minbet_value must be 25.
how fill variable fields?
name:
minibet_value
expression:
25
Description (oprtional)
but... summary type?:
Sum?
Count?
Average? or what??

Variables actually can't be used in column definitions. Columns are lower level than variables in PT3 parlance. The columns get the data from the database, and then the variables are useful for manipulating it in common ways to make the Stat creation easier.

For example, I wanted to manipulate AFq in several ways to test a few theories about its relevance, so I built a var_afq variable which was basically the sum and division necessary to create afq - it made my Stat much neater.

Unfortunately I am not aware of a simple way to do what you are asking.
