PT2 and PAHUD freezing my comp

Postby ROGUE06 » Tue Dec 30, 2008 9:46 pm

So I've had Pokertracker for a while but just started using PokerAceHUD last few days. Lately I have been tilted more from my computer freezing then actually losing money. Can anyone help me with info on how to get everything to run more effectively without my computer freezing for 10minutes. All I have open is an excel file while I 6 table on Full Tilt and have Pokertracker running on the side. Usually I can last 30-45min with some lag until finally the comp freezes and I have to wait a bit to slowly reboot everything. My PT2 database is over 100k hands but I already compacted it before I played today. I have defragged my comp as well as compacted my PT2 database and ran my Norton VirusScan to get my computer running faster. Any tips?

Do you use the cache in PAH? If not, you should try it, this will speed things up a lot, especially if you have a lot of, or very large, databases.
Options -> Preferences -> Databases.
Please note when you first build the cache it can take a long time, so run it overnight or something.
(If you are using postgres 8.3 databases, the cache won't work.)
