Many Thanks for the quick reply Pat,

Yes, I think thats the best thing to do, leave it overnight, just seems strange it only imported 2 days worth in 2 hours last night???

I`ll stop the import now, then leave it running overnight.

One last thing............... can i damage it by stopping/starting the import process mid way through? and will it pick up from where it left when it starts again, or will it have to go through the whole process from the start again?

Yes, that could cause a problem if you kill PT while it's importing so try not to do that.

ALSO, on the auto-import window when you do the imports later, make the the "Auto-rate on import" box is UNCHECKED. This could really slow down the import and you can just do a batch auto-rate later if need be.

Left it running overnight, its imported 277,000 hnads successfully, and is now working fine again!

Glad to hear it. You probably have a pretty big database file though and the max size for Access databases is 2gb. You might want to consider converting to PostgreSQL...

It's more stable and doesn't have a max db size limit like Access does.
