ongmae db crawling

hello i play ongame limit holdem
mostly i play 25/50 and 50/100 head up and 5 way
i downloaded sql lite to import hh's
so i have about 60k hands and another 50k to import from my other computer

questions are as follows:

1. is sql lite and postgresql the same?
2. Do i convert my db to postgresql? PT runs pretty slow
3. Is my database to big and thats why pt runs slow?

1. No. SQLite is the type of database that Ongame and Microgaming sites use to store hand histories as you play.

2. You can convert and you will see some performance gains, but the main reason for convert is that the PostgreSQL database allows for an unlimited amount of hands to be imported into it.

so i was going to convert to postgre, now will pt auto import into the postgre database?
sorry i read what you gave me still unclear
do i take the db files inthe pokerroom folder and move them so pokerroom starts new databases and pt doesnt need to go through them all?

Look at the Help link on the Utilities > Convert Database... window. That will tell you what you need to do to convert the database. There is another link on that help page that says "For details on installing PostgreSQL on your computer, click here". Click that to see what else you need to do start using it.

If the PokerRoom databases are getting large, use the Reset DBs button on the auto-import window to clear the hands out of them.
