Here's an interesting one: Mid-tourney on PS, I get moved to another table, at which a player named
jebæk
is sitting. That's how his name appears on the screen, and in the HH, for 5 hands only - in PT.
After the 5th hand, and in PT only, he suddenly becomes:
jebæk
whilst remaining as
jebæk
in the HH I have from PS, on my HD.

I'd like to change his name to one or the other, for consistency, and also for notes, and ISTM I have 2 choices:
1. rename him somehow in the db (PostGres), and if this be feasible, I seek directions as to how to do so, or
2. delete the whole tourney (having saved my notes for later insertion) and reimport both HH & Summary from PS.
Which should I do, please?

You could just open the tourney stats window, select jebæk from the list on the left then click the Alias button and alias the other name (jebæk) to this one. Then everything should show up under just the "jebæk" name.

Nice, elegant solution of which I hadn't thought, Pat, but, having Imported the Tourney Summary from the File, Import...dialog, I got the "7 - SQLSTATE=23505" Error when attempting to assign aliases, in each direction. I can send you a jpg of the Error Message if you wish,

Yeah, it's because they both have hands played together at the same table. I hadn't thought about that problem.

Did you try just purging the tournament and reimporting the hand history files to see if everything then goes in under just one name?

Thanks, Pat, did that, it worked, after I had changed the text of the Tourney Summary file to reflect the player's "new" name.
