PT freezes up due missing tourney summaries

When I open up the tournament window I get a window that informs me that I have missing tournament summaries. If I click "Show tournaments with no summaries loaded" PT freezes up totally and I have to close it using CTRL+ALT+DEL.

As far as I know all my summaries are loaded and in the manual entry window all tournaments are there with summaries.

If I just close the pop-up without showing the missing summaries everything works just fine.

Does the window that shows the missing summaries ever open up? Or does it open and you can't close it from there?

It does open up and it is empty.

What I do get is just before it opens is a "DataWindow Error" window that says:
Select error: SQLSTATE=42883
ERROR: function ltrim(integer) does not exist;
Error while executing the query

I can close this window but then it freezes.

I'm running 2.17.01g and XP

Postgres is 8.3-rc1

OK, this is a problem with PostgreSQL 8.3 and a function that PT uses that doesn't work the same way it did in older versions of PostgreSQL. I'll have to get this fixed in the next patch.
