hi,

i got a new Pc and running Windows Vista at it. since im doing that i cant compact my Pokertracker Databases. Im getting the following Error Msg:

i hope u got a solution for me.

Are you running PT as administrator? Is Vista prompting you to cancel/allow PT to run every time you start it?

yes im running Pt as Admin and i dont get a question when im start Pokertracker.

Unless you have the UAC turned off, it should be prompting you to cancel/allow PT to run every single time.

Follow the Vista directions at the top of the download page for starting PT as admin...

i did everything again like it is written in the text u send me.
but that is not the problem...i did it before as i read it the first time.
and with UAC off there is no program asking for permission. so i think u are not right in that case. and there is still no asking no matter if i manually starting PT as Admin or the automatic way.

but i found out that it is just 1 Database that i cant compact. its my miningdatabase which has about 1 Million mining hands and a size of about 2GB.

2gb is the max file size for an Access db. I would recommend you install PostgreSQL and then convert your databases then you don't need to worry about this...

my problem has solved itself...
some hours ago my database crushed. PT said it has to be repaired but this is not opossible...so all my data is lost... i begin to hate PT and PA have to find a new solution i think...

You can try to go to the Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC) window and click on the System DSN tabs.

For any entry on this window that starts with PTRACK (i.e. PTRACK, PTRACK1, PTRACK2) click the Configure button and on the next window click the Repair button.

Does this work doing it this way?
