I'm in View Stats > T > Graphs > Global Game Statistics and tbh I'm having a hard time understanding what is going on here and why. Here are some thoughts.
1. The data is independent of hero (hence the 'Global' tag) but unless we have every hand from every tourney then the data will of necessity be incomplete. For instance, there is no data on players at other tables within the same tourney, nor is there data on events after hero is knocked out. I really don't think you can apply a Global tag to tourney stats... I think this section needs to have a Hero focus.
2. The Graphs
~ Pot Size. Plotting anything by BB will become coloured when antes kick in. The higher/more ante data there is, the less meaningful the graph becomes. Also, this data is going to be skewed (downwards) as the bubble approaches and re-skewed (upwards) after the bubble. I remember Pokerstars had some tournies where the blinds were fixed at (I think) 5/10, had antes from level one and it was the antes that increased, not the blinds.
~ Number of Players Who Saw The Flop. The Cash variant of this graph has data points for 0,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 players whilst the Tourney variant has data points for 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 players. I don't mean to sound cynical, but who really cares how many players saw the flop? How can this information help me play better, or better understand what is happening? This graph is too much influenced by low M and/or the bubble passing where every man and his dog is going to see a flop with ATC.
~ Winning Hands at Showdown & Losing Hands at Showdown. These graphs are also based on BBs which I'm having difficulty with. As an SnG/tourney player I really don't give a damn what hands I won or lost with (that's a separate issue), but WHEN that win/loss happened really gets my attention.
~ Max Street. As a tourney player, if I won every hand pre-flop I would be a very wealthy man. As a cash player, if I won every hand pre-flop I'd be broke. Hence I don't see the point of this graph, especially when the y-axis is 'Hand Count'. I think percentage distribution might be better... might.
~ Chips Won By Position. This one I like, lots.
I'm not being critical of PT4 (it's a winner in my books) but I just can't see the point in these graphs. I'd like to get some input from the pro tourney players the PT team have on tap and from forum members as to what SnG/tourney tourney players need to help them play better. Perhaps none of it is in the the graphs area, but whatever graphs there are need to be relevant.
